You must probably be wondering “How?”.
It’s pretty simple, really.
I left the most toxic place on Earth (Twitter) and joined the most beautiful place on Earth. I also stopped talking to basically anyone to refocus on me. It’s sad really how easily you can spend (waste?) your energy on social media.
I thought I was different.
I wasn’t.
It’s always hard to not get too excited at the highs, or too sad at the lows. I guess that’s one of the criteria that differentiate me from fully turning into a bot.
Right now, I feel great.
“In the zone”, as they say.
Before diving into some technicals, I want to say that this solid month started outside of the charts.
Here are some things that helped me perform at my best:
6 weeks without Twitter (which was my last social media);
I’ve been working closely with 2 amazing algo guys;
18 times to the gym in February, 36 times in 2024;
Limited trading time per day;
Low risk (1-2 lot);
Great sleep.
Plus, it’s my wedding anniversary date in February — it can’t be a bad month for that reason alone.
36 times in 2 months. That’s more than during my last 10 years. I couldn’t run for more than 10min when I joined back in December. I was still smoking back in November. And for the haters, the number of activities, calories & co is not correct, as you have to input this manually, which I rarely do.
This week, I ran for 1 hour, increased weights, helped my in-laws move houses, and much more.
Without coffee and nicotine in months, I feel the most energetic and aware that I’ve ever been.
I think I can officially say it has become a habit. A part of me. And I’m proud of it. I just feel better in my body. Sharper in my mind.
I made a strong effort to adjust my sleep after a tough December/January (jetlag etc.).
Lastly, my $10,000 loss in one day from the end of January was the best thing to happen to me. As usual, you can complain or decide to accept that you fucked up and get back up.
Finding excuses is the most useless and counter-productive behavior a retail trader can have.
It forced me to swallow my ego. Work back on the basics. Stack small wins.
Since then?
1 red day.
My weakness in this situation is to stop trading. I’ll still trade tomorrow. I need to push myself and stop being scared.
For some more accountability, here’s my week so far.
Each day is new. I mostly accepted it, but I have more work to do on this topic.
With that being said, I still have a lot of work to reach my 2024 goals.
Hampton Traders helps me more than I’d like to admit. Being with a small group of traders and slightly under the spotlight forces me to perform at my absolute best. After all, it’s not that bad to have an ego.
Now, without giving all my tricks, here are some ideas for you, in no particular order.
Do you understand how rotations work and how they should help you stay in line with the market and stack these wins while never taking large losses?
Do you understand the Price Discovery market regime that we’ve been in? Our friend of the Substack MetaaL posted on Twitter at the beginning of the year “long above the yearly open”. Even though I don’t like the “long above, short below” type of stuff, he shared his way of seeing the market and it’s been spot-on for intraday trading.
Do you understand velocity at key points in time?
Do you understand clean vs. ugly rotations?
Do you understand your limit as a human? (e.g., for me, too much screen time, extended move without pullback, etc.)
I recorded and shared 5 hours of pure scalping in February. You can access it here as well as my live trading from January, plus my videos on rotations/ranges, etc. I do believe that $99 is the fairest price you can get, with some of the best quality with actual live trading, reasoning, some backtesting, and more.
If you struggled with the recent price action, change of speed, small range then sudden moves, I do believe these videos will help you. (If you can change a bit your approach/vision).
Will it make you a winning trader? Probably not. But I doubt that it’ll hurt you.
And of course, if you can afford it, you’re welcome to join our precious community. Stream tomorrow at 915AM EST.
Here are some reviews (more available on the website).
I wish you the best. Thank you for being loyal readers of the newsletter, it means a lot to me.
Cheers

Happy for you.
For the onlooker, it was obvious that whenever you interacted with socials you took on too much. Be it twitter or discord, sacrificing yourself but for what?
I hope you find even more balance, and once you're there, the ability to lose your footing but with grace.

I am rooting for you! i have learned so much from your substack. thank you so much for teaching these lessons to others.
